This two building, 134,000 square foot, affordable, multi-family housing project contains a mixture of 85 one to four bedroom units. CPC was responsible for the "green" certifications--successfully achieving Enterprise Green Communities, LEED-Homes Silver, and Gold certifications.

Sage Park Apartments - Gardena, CA

Client - BRIDGE Housing
Collaborative administered the LEED Gold certification process for the Sage Park Apartments project, a truly groundbreaking affordable housing facility resulting from a unique relationship between owner Los Angeles Unified School District and developer BRIDGE Housing. Designed with the intent of being a sustainable "living-learning" community for school district employees and families, the project includes 90 high-quality, family apartments on a 3.5-acre site located on the north side of the Gardena High School campus. Onsite amenities include a fitness room, community room, laundry facilities, a community garden, drought-tolerant landscaped courtyards, and a new community room built on the adjacent lot. New construction of a 38,000 square foot, multi-family, affordable, veteran's housing facility. This 41 unit project successfully achieved ENERGY STAR Homes and Enterprise Green Communities certifications.

Heritage Square Senior Housing - Pasadena

Client - Bridge Housing
Collaborative provided sustainability consulting, GPR project management, Energy model review, HERS, and documentation quality control for this three building, three-story 70 unit affordable senior housing project qualified for TCAC and multiple funding awards.
Heritage Square provides high-quality and welcoming affordable rental housing units to Pasadena’s aging population. The design incorporates two community rooms that can be used for community gatherings, civic meetings, resident social services, arts and sustainable education. Open space is a key element of the design for both the site and includes active and passive use courtyards with raised planters, walkways, and outdoor gathering spaces placing an emphasis on community interaction and resident connections. Natural and lush landscape fosters a sustainable and inviting outdoor recreation environment that compliments the outdoor southern California lifestyle.
